I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!!

so wow!!! this has had to have been the best/craziest/most tiring weekend ever.

i turned 19 on May 12 (friday).
i bought my very first car with all my own money. her name is suzie. when you see her you can say, "hey suzie".
my brothers and sister-in-law bought me a digital camera. click click.
megan got me an "s" that i can mosaic. and music...
benita got me a starbucks card...enough said : )
uncle mike got me the beginnings of an emergency car kit. lol.
heidi got me the book American Gospel. i'm gonna go ahead and endorse it even though i haven't read it yet. i saw an interview about it on the Colbert Report, and that's enough for me. ha.
oh yes, i bought 2 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of jeans.
........i'm on such a high.

i really have to thank God for my car though.
it's kinda hard to explain over the net, but i would not have found it without Him (and his Irish friend). hahahaha.

i'm pretty confident that i will be attending SBU this coming school year. my parents have agreed to send me to school for at least one year. it's all they and i can afford, and one year is better than zero. i am thankful for anything at this point.

Pressure Points

so i'm feeling a bit of pressure right now. and i don't know if i can handle it.

i turned down the car i looked at. i'm gonna hold out for something more reliable. i feel that was wise.

andy made me sort of a spreadsheet of my college costs at different universities. that really helped a lot. now all i have to do is see which college my parents can afford. my mom asked me the ole "if money was no issue, where would you go?" question. my choice would be SBU of course. i'm like 75% sure that school is right for me. the only reason i'm even looking at other schools is because SBU's $6,000 more expensive than ESU or Pitt. State. i know it's not the end of the world, but i'm still scared.

things are a little tight around here, and emotions are running high. and i'm not just speaking for myself. andy's gonna be really busy for the next couple of weeks, and the car situation is very...undesireable... benita asked me if i could help out more than just laundry. kind of share the "housewife" duties of the house. i totally saw myself almost cracking. planning meals, washing dishes, cleaning house, doing laundry, drop-off/pick-up stuff/people... i think i can handle it. i mean it really is NOT that big of a deal. but i still feel like i wanna curl up in a ball and go to sleep.

i feel so weak when i think that, but i just can't help it sometimes. in the end it only matters that i get up and do it anyway...right?

my cat understands me, i'll be fine.

Minty Green

well i finally got a picture up on this bleeping blog. i don't know if it was even worth it. okay, it was. ha ha ha. so lets seeee...what did i need to write about... oh yes, all of the crap that's been going on. ugh.

i went to go check out that car. it's really yucky looking. an '84 toyota tercel. ewwie. it runs okay, but i don't know if i'm ready to sink $500 into the first and only car i've looked at. i really need one. decisions, decisions.

apparently i don't get much from FAFSA. about $2,500 per year. which i of course have to payback anyway. that's for Pitt. State. i'm visiting Emporia tomorrow. we'll see what i'm eligible for there. school makes me sad sometimes.

megan should be in town by now. YAY!!!!! i feel like going to a coffee house with my girls and hanging out, but that's probably not going to happen. megan has to unpack, and kate's not even here. *sigh*

so this is kinda funny. i was over at my brother's house eating dinner and he was getting me a drink. i asked him if i could have a straw too. he then asked me what color i wanted, yellow, green, orange, or purple. i thought for a second and couldn't decide, so i looked down at my shirt. it was orange. so i said orange please. my sister in law started laughing at me. she couldn't believe i had just looked at my shirt in order to determine what color straw i wanted. hahahaha. i'm so funny.

Pop Rocks: Taste the Explosion

so guess who got to see the amazing joel dixon in st. joeseph, mo last night. that's right, i did!! it was very...entertaining... lol. joel did a great job, and it's amazing what a purple tie can do to a man. hahahaha. we went to the Cracker Barrell afterwards and that was fawesome as usual. mmmm...dumplings.

hmmm...let's see. so the honda i was "looking" at turned out to be a stick. so uncle mike had to teach me how to drive one. it was sooooo much boofing fun. i was laughing the entire time. i was like, "hey mike, what happens if i do this?" and he was like, "well the car will explode and flip over and we'll die, but whatever go ahead and try it." he's too awesome. thanks for sharing him kate...you're also too awesome. anywho, after i learned how to drive the honda, it turned out to be a p.o.s. so, i am now looking at the toyota. oh well, anyone who wants to sell me a stick drop me a note.

still no job. boof! i need money like a whore in church. wait, that made no sense. well it sounds good so i'll keep it.

oh man...i really wanna visit kate, in FL, and my brother, in Chicago, this summer, but i just don't think i have the EXTRA funding. i might be able to road trip to TX though. sounds fun. except for the TX part. hahahaha. at least i will have a few days with kate near the end of the summer. a month or so with megan will be tizzy. i miss all my friends. all 5 of them. that's right...yyyyyyyyou're jealous. lol.

andy h. called and said he was gonna make lemon chicken tonight. he also asked me if i could cut up the veggies and chicken and put them in the fridge to marinade before he gets home. HE'S making dinner...yeah, sure. (i kid because i love) i'm actually not even going to BE here for dinner tonight. shelly invited me over to eat and them go to her sister's "jewelry party". this will be a new experience for me.
